Latchmere 1st Draft

Dolby

I like the images for the digipak and there is a clear style. The album is called 'Colour me in' so is the use of black and white ironic?! I would be more creative with the use of ICT in manipulating images-check the mark scheme and check grammar- e.g. apostrophe in band name or not?

Location

We have chosen to base our video in London as we thought that it would relate to the song, because of the line 'stay in your lane', we thought that using a busy city as the main location would be a good concept for people who are rushing around and aren't 'staying in their lanes'. We decided to use the tube and London station as a few of our main locations but we also wanted to use the busy roads as well, so we went to a few cross roads near the station so we could film some of the busy traffic during the day and then again at night.

We have chosen the schools photography studio as a location for the performance as its has a plain black back drop which we thought would suit the black and white theme of the video.

we had to change the concept of our video as we couldn't use the original location due to plans being changed and people who couldn't make it to the date we had arranged to do the filming on.

Crew List

We have chosen these people to be in our music video as we think they suit the style of music:

Jordan Logan

Jordan Harris

Will Roberts

Rob Hussain

Equipment List

For our video we need to use the following equipment so that we can get the shots needed for our video:

Black back drop for the photos of the band and the scenes with the performance. We decided to use a black backdrop as our video is going to be in black and white. We used this back drop for the performance part of the video with the guitar and drums.

Tripod to get steady shots for the video. We used a tripod for the shots of the band for the digipack and website and we also used it for some of the shots in London. This was really beneficially for us as most of the shots we needed to take were long shots as we were speeding them up anyway.

Camera to film the footage on. The camera we used to film the footage on was a canon 700D, this is Hollies camera and we decided to use this camera as we thought that using a camera one of us owned would be easily to then go out of school and get footage, we also found that in the prelim task that we both struggled to use the school cameras as well as struggling to hold them as they were really big.

Phone to take some pictures on and to use for timings of different shots. I used my Iphone to take some pictures throughout the day in London filming so I could use them on my digipak and website. However I also used it to do timings of shots so that we knew would get enough footage.

Apple computer to edit the clips for the video. We decided to use a software on the apple Mac computer called final cut pro, this software allowed use to edit our footage and to create the music video. This software however is very technical, which means that although it will help us get the best quality out of our video it also means that it takes a longer time editing.

Age Rating

To know whether our music video would have an age rating we would have to send it to the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) they watch the video through and then decide what rating the video Is depending on whether it contains: drug misuse, dangerous behavior presented as safe, bad language, sexual behavior and nudity, threatening behavior and violence.
In our music video we don't have any of the above which means that there might not being a rating on our video. But this is up to the BBFC.

Progress Update

I have completed all my analysis for digipaks, website home pages and music videos. I am now onto the construction my digipak with the images I took from when Hollie and I did the filming in London. Over the Next few lessons Hollie and I are doing the construction of our music video and editing the clips.

I am going to start the website home page the week starting the 12th of December and then hopefully get the Digipak and website home page complete before Christmas half term.
